About Me

Hello I'm Steve,

I was born and bred in Exmouth so I know a lot of people , my knowledge of the local area is very good and have explored many other places,

I'm a member of the Society of wedding and portrait photographers also the society of international nature and wildlife photographers

I have been into photography for many year but only in the last 5 years started to take my passion seriously.

I shoot with Nikon cameras, I have a D800 full frame which is 36 mgp an awesome camera, also  but just as powerful D610,  24 mgp, various lenses but I'm adding to my kit all the time.

People are my favourite, I love to catch the essence of a person, candid often works best when they think they are not being watched and more relaxed.

landscape is something that is close to my heart as we live in a very special place what with the sea and common right on our doostep, we get the best of both worlds.

I love to travel and have been to many countries Greece being my favourite.

I'm hardly ever without my camera because you never know when a photo opportunity is going to arise, I'm out at all hours of the day wandering around looking for the RIGHT shot I have been out at 4.30 in the morning just to get a moonset or over budleigh at 4.00am to get sunrise.

Weddings are a very special thing to shoot I try to capture the whole day, but once the day is over all you have are memories and pictures,so I try and capture every little thing.

My wife Lisa is my assistant whom may pick up a camera and take a few candid shots, I like to say a different perspective . women often see thing differently to a man.

I have been in the express and echo many times both as picture of the week and chosen picture.

I offer home visits also, the session starts from when I've set everything up, the idea behind home visits is that your far more relaxed at home, all I need is the room.

I have many back drops and frames along with many baby props for newborn to 12 months , so why not let me bring the studio to you,

I sometimes hire halls to do a pop-up studio to do a full day studio session which has proved very popular. booking a time slot is very important.

As for the printing side of things I can do it at home but I choose not to, it's very expensive and time consuming so I tend to subcontract to a well established firm, they are very reliable and on average get the prints back within 10 days prices vary on what you want.

The idea behind you getting a disc with everything on to do with as you want saves me time and you money.

I am fully insured through photosheild.
